Field East - Windy Moor

Saddle work site

This is a walk of 1.5 kilometres and involves an ascent of 200 metres over that distance. It is moderately steep with two rocky areas to negotiate.

North Windy Moor work site

Located over Windy Moor some 1.4 kilometres further on. Most of Windy Moor is crossed on timber planks and easy, but once past there are wet sections and a short rocky area also has be traversed.

The track is in very exposed country and subject to very cold conditions and strong winds. It also very dangerous to be caught in the area without adequate warm clothes and wet weather gear.
