MSUS Postdoc panel: 01/19/2024
MSUS is hosting a fantastic panel of materials science and chemistry postdoctoral researchers from various research backgrounds to answer all your questions about postdoctoral research positions.
Date: January 19th, 2024 at 12-1 PM
Location: Ford ITW
All the information about our wonderful panelists is below.
Please bring all your questions about the how, why, and what's of pursuing a postdoc!
Dr. Jun Li
Dr. Jun Li is currently a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Chemistry under the supervision of Prof. Chad Mirkin. He obtained his Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His research interests include high-throughput synthesis for new materials, additive manufacturing, and biomedical devices.
Dr. EunBi Oh
Dr. EunBi Oh is a postdoctoral scholar in the Robotic Matter Lab. With Prof. Ryan L. Truby, she is developing polymer-based architected materials and actuators with new robotic functionalities through various 3D printing approaches. Prior to her postdoc, EunBi earned her Ph.D. in Chemistry under the guidance of Prof. Chad A. Mirkin at Northwestern University. Her research focused on developing new lithography platforms for fabricating functional, multi-length scale architectures, with interests in using polymers as both a patterning tool and a patterning substrate. She holds a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she conducted research in Prof. James Cahoon's lab, exploring p-type dye-sensitized solar cells. In her spare time, she enjoys playing tennis, cooking, and watching movies.
Dr. Shreyash Hadke
Dr. Shreyash Hadke joined the Hersam group in 2022 to embark on his second postdoctoral appointment, after wrapping up his first one in the School of Chemical Engineering at Purdue University. He received his Ph.D. (with an Interdisciplinary Research Excellence Award) in Materials Science and Engineering from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, where he studied the interplay between point defect characteristics and charge carrier dynamics in solution-processed chalcogenide semiconductors. Having previously explored topics as varied as thermodynamic modeling of phase diagrams, EBSD-based microstructure reconstruction, abrasive wear in Ti-alloys, recrystallization dynamics in Nb-alloys, combustion synthesis of oxides, and defect engineering in solution-processed chalcogenide and perovskite photovoltaics, Shreyash now works on the development of 2D material's oscillator-based memristors which is categorized under the neuromorphic computing.
