P.A.L.M.A. Scholarship

History of the P.A.L.M.A Scholarship:

The concept of the P.A.L.M.A scholarship was created during the Fall of 2012 by the Sisters of Lambda Theta Alpha with the Assistance of Lambda Theta Alpha Graduate, Elvia Gonzalez. P.A.L.M.A., stands for Pursuing Academics, Leadership, and Maximizing Awareness; all which can relate back to the mission of Lambda Theta Alpha.

The sisters felt that there should be a scholarship available to undergraduate student leaders who are in need of financial assistance toward their education at Michigan State University. To those who demonstrate leadership in the Latina/ LatinX community on and off MSU campus. Most importantly we feel that the P.A.L.M.A scholarship not be a scholarship that would affect undergrad financial aid. The scholarship consists of a $250 award and a certificate of recognition.

Lambda Theta Alpha believes strongly in the Chicano/Latino Community on and off MSU campus.

Fall and Spring Scholarship winners will be awarded and presented at the annual P.A.L.M.A. Gala.
