I am a native Fort Worthian. I graduated from Western Hills High School in 1989. I then attended Abilene Christian University from 1989 to 1994. I transferred home to complete my degree at Texas Wesleyan University in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Physical Education. I am certified to teach secondary math and physical education. I was hired to work at AHHS in the spring of 1997 and have taught at AHHS for my whole career.
I grew up playing every sport I could. I played soccer, softball, football, basketball, track, volleyball, racquetball, tennis, badminton, and swimming. By the time I was a sophomore in high school i knew that I would be a Math teacher and soccer coach. I have coached soccer and volleyball at Heights for 3 years. I now choose to focus on the classroom.
I enjoy video gaming, music, puzzles, musicals, plays, travelling, photography, laughing with my friends and family, and learning new things. My reason for becoming a teacher is very simple: I want to make sure that some of our future leaders and decision makers can make sound and logical choices that will shape the future of our nation.
I will work very hard to be the best teacher and individual that I can be at all times. I ask that you and your student work with me as we travel down the upcoming path for the next school year. I will push your student and demand big things from them. If I make a mistake, I will work quickly and conscientiously to fix it. All I ask is give me a chance. The same chance that I will give your student.
