About Me

Hello, my name is Cassandra Hansen. I am so thrilled to be teaching your wonderful students this year! I was born and raised in Springfield, Illinois, and then attended Wake Forest University in North Carolina and graduated with a dual degree in Elementary Education and Communications with a concentration in Media Studies. I love to use collaboration in my classroom along with integrating technology because I think that those skills are what will make my students most successful in their future.

My favorite activities are dancing to fun music, reading a good book, and spending time with my family. My favorite animals are cats, and I have a pet cat named Magnolia that always finds ways to make mischief. I love the color red, and my favorite food is apples. I cannot wait to learn more about my students!
