Mr. Weber graduated from Cedar Springs HS in 1991. His favorite activities were band performances, Dungeons & Dragons, and hanging out with friends. He was also a huge fan of Mystery Science Theater 3000 episodes. You can find these on Youtube now but we didn't have Youtube back then.
After high school Mr. Weber attended Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, MI. In May of 1996 he graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Music Education. In college he had the opportunity to play in many different ensembles and was the lead saxophone in the Afternoon Jazz Ensemble for 4 years.
After college Mr. Weber worked for several different schools before coming to the Grand Rapids Public Schools in the fall of 2000. He has worked with this district ever since.
While working for GRPS Mr. Weber attended Aquinas College again to attain his Master's Degree in the Art of Teaching. He completed this degree in May of 2008. Later Mr. Weber had the opportunity to continue learning with Davenport University and completed 23 credits towards a Master's Degree in the Art of Urban Education. Then COVID happened and this degree was put on hold.
In the last couple of years Mr. Weber has joined the Grand Rapids Symphonic Band where he performs concert band music on the Alto Saxophone. There are several GRPS staff in this band and many are current music teachers. In addition to this band Mr. Weber has also been performing with the GR Commity College Campus Band and the Beer City Winds on Trombone.
Mr. Weber has been married since December of 2003 and has two daughters. He lives in Grand Rapids, MI.
