  • President - Ensure members are active (leading projects, innovating NEW projects, setting meeting agendas. You are in charge of all the members.)
  • Vice President - (Accountability person - You check that each officer is doing their role and reporting concerns to Mr. Suter and President. You are in charge of all the officers)
  • Treasurer - Send monthly report to Joel Parker (Elida Treasurer). Keep accurate records in Google Sheets on project status, payment, and who is project lead. Submits purchase orders and deposits customer checks into Grit9 account at the central office.
  • Secretary - Type the agenda for each meeting as set by the President, and post what was accomplished/discussed at each Grit9 meeting to our website.
  • Social Media/Marketing/Blogger/Writer

A: The Grit9 Board members each get one vote. Board members may include local business owners, administrators, and Mr. Suter. You don't need to know who they are. You don't know most of them anyway.

Thur 9/8: Mr Suter pitches starting a company in class. Students think he's nuts. No promises are made of any tangible benefits like food, money, or gifts. Only extra work and the experience itself.

Tue 9/13 Sarah Baumgartner visits from Rockettech: 3 year president of a club like the one we're trying to start. Sarah talks about "Taking advantage of opportunities", "discover and make known your passions by getting involved" and encourages Elida students to focus on the "why" of leadership, not the title or perks of it. Project Leaders aren't the only way to lead and make an impact.

Thur 9/15: Skyped with PG Engineering Design - Jenna B pitched getting assistance from PGED with building a wooden 8in. arcade cabinet for assembly practice, and decal art visualizing.PGED showed us their 3d printer and laser engraver. Their president Miss Jordan Guthrie was asked and able to answer, "Why does PGED exist?" Her response "We exist to develop students for their future, to help gain confidence and experience in real world situations".
