All-Stars Parent Expectations

Dear All-Star Families, 

Parent emails, Classroom Newsletters through Email, Talking Points and this website will keep you and your student up to date on information, expectations and classroom activities. 

Each day/week parents are responsible for checking their students success on completing school activities using the student binder, Communication Folder, Work Folder, Tornado Check-In, and Google Classroom.  I try my best to stay up to date on grading and feedback and this will be reflected on the grades in their work folder, and on PowerSchool. Please reach out if you have any questions, concerns, or  constructive feedback. 

Required Home Nightly Assignments 

Reading

Read nightly for 20 minutes

-Learners will read nightly and parents should ask questions to ensure the reading was completed. 

If a student is absent they are required to make up missing work at home and turn in asap. 

Optional Practice, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED 

Math 

Dream Box Math-- Usually takes about 15-20 minutes for a lesson.

    Reading

Waggle Reading-- Follow the pathway provided based on MAP data.

If students need help with anything please contact me through email, so that I may help. 

When your child needs help please feel free to guide them (not do it for them). First, please ask them if they can tell you about the activity, then use reviewed practice problems sent home, and/or use any other resources to help themselves (vidoes, study guides).
