About Me

I have been in the teaching profession since 2002, originally in Orange County, and here in the Central Coast since 2008.

I obtained my Bachelor of Science degree in Child and Adolescent Development from CSU Fullerton; I have a Multiple Subject Credential, a Supplementary Credential in Social Studies, and a Single Subject Credential in Mathematics.

I always struggled with math when I was in school, so I understand the frustration that many students feel. My goal this year is to instill a feeling of empowerment in the math class; I want every student to believe that they CAN do math.

My favorite color is mint green (not turquoise), my favorite flower is the calla lily, and my favorite math concept is the fractal (look at my ceiling). My favorite subject is History, and I spend a great deal of time doing historical reenacting with my family. I sew my own clothes for reenacting, and I don't have a tv.

When I'm not reenacting or teaching, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to read!
