Parent/Teacher Communication
I believe that a good parent-teacher relationship is very important for your child’s success. During the school year we will communicate through notes, email, telephone calls, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences. I encourage you to contact me if you have any questions or concerns at any time.
Parent Participation
Throughout the school year there will be a variety of special classroom parties, activity nights, and field trips. I encourage you to attend these activities, and to support them whenever possible. Your support makes your child feel important, sending the message that you value their educational accomplishments and our local school programs.
School Attendance
Your child’s regular and prompt attendance at school is crucial for success. Many learning activities are group oriented and involve interaction with classmates. Please encourage regular school attendance, and make certain that your child attends every day, except in cases of illness or emergency. Please make sure your child arrives for class on time, since it may be awkward to join class when children are already working on group activities.
Supplies
In our classroom students have individual desks, but with limited space due to textbooks and library books please send only the following items:
