A little about me

Hello!

Other than being your teacher, I am a mother of 2 little men, one named Rj (5 years old) and a new little guy named Sam (6 months old). I am a wife to Mr. Fernandez ( a history teacher at Cesar Chavez Middle) , and a daughter to a pair of loving and hardworking parents.

I have lived in San Bernardino since I was 8 years old. My parents are immigrants from Mexico. I mention this because their experiences played a huge role in shaping me into who I am today. I am thankful to be fluent in Spanish, I LOVE spicy food and value hard work and effort.

On my spare time I like to binge on Netflix - anime is my guilty pleasure. I love to listen to most types of music and am always on the hunt for that new band or song that sounds like it was weaved out of my mind and soul. I love to read although I hardly have the time. I love being outside with my husband and son and I LOVE to go to Disneyland with them...or at least I did before all this Covid craziness occurred.

My life is consumed by my family and my students. I give both of these aspects of my life everything that I have to give.

I anxiously look forward to working with you all and getting to know each and every one of you. I hope that together we can build a classroom community where we are all invested in each others academic and personal achievement.
