Day 2

Hello again and welcome to Day 2.  Today there are 2 tasks for you to complete that will help you to stay organized throughout the year.  Take some time and complete the following 2 tasks.  If you have any questions, or need any help, remember you can email me at jrmcmanus@philasd.org and/or we can set up a Zoom meeting.

Create a Symbaloo.  Symbaloo is a bookmarking site that allows you to bookmark websites and then access them from anywhere.  I have created a number of websites to supplement our class and it is important that you keep them bookmarked so that you can find them easily.

Go to the website https://www.symbaloo.com/welcome and create a free account.  Then watch the tutorial video on how to add bookmarks to your page.

**If you had me last year, you should already have a symbaloo created.  All you will need to do is update it with the information listed below**

Once you have created your Symbaloo account: Delete all of the preset tiles that are there so that they are all blank.  Then you will need to bookmark the following sites.  You can simply copy and paste the links listed below to your symbaloo tiles.

In the coming days, I may also provide you with additional links to add to your Symbaloo account so that you can access them easier.

If when creating your symbaloo tile, if no picture is available you can just chose a color.  On my example I uploaded my own pictures for some and just stuck with plain colors for others.  You do not have to upload pictures if you do not want to.  HOWEVER, you may want to add or edit the tile's name so you know what specific website it will link you to.  See my example below:

Assignment:

Once you have created your Symbaloo page and added all of the necessary bookmarks/tiles, you need to take a screenshot, screen capture, snip or even just a picture with your cell phone and email it to me at:

jrmcmanus@philasd.org

This counts as a grade!

There will be a shared Google Drive Class folder where I will upload assignments and other documents that you will need for the class.  You will want to create your own class folder in your Google Drive so you have a place to copy and save those files, along with a place to save your work so you can easily access it.

SO...Create a new folder in your Google Drive and label it for our class.
