- Stereo cable extenders allow you to use standard microphone cables to make very long 1/4" stereo (or TRS) cables. These are perfect for extending unbalanced stereo signals on stage from a stereo effects pedal (or keyboard), to a stereo amp located some distance away. You can mix and match the adaptors as required, but they should always be used in pairs (with one at each end of the microphone cable).
