What is Transitional Math?
Transitional Math is the continuation of where we left off last year with Math Concepts and Interventions. The class with be split up into two parts: Algebra 1 material for the first half of the year and Geometry material for the second half of the year. With Math Concepts being a slightly slower pace to help ensure understanding of the concepts, Transitional Math will begin to get a little more heavy with topics.
Do not worry that you will be falling behind from taking an extra math class, next year you will be back on track in Algebra 2 with the rest of the Junior class.
Last year I saw many students lower their anxiety of math and improve their math skills with Transitional Math, I plan on the same happening this year.
If you ever find yourself stuck and its the middle of the night, find the topic below for video assistance along with worksheet practice as well, click on the YouTube descriptions and there are more worksheets with answers to check your work.
Please don't rely on your cell phone or computer to give you the answer and you mindlessly copy it down, not knowing what any of it means. Use your brains.
