Climate migration
CliC:ME goes to COP30, Belem, Brazil, 10-21 November 2025. Invited by the Global Centre for Climate Mobility (GCCM) to the Climate Mobility Pavilion, the premiere showcase of the updated version of the online dashboard CliC:ME.
Launched in 2022, the Greater Caribbean Climate Mobility Initiative (GCCMI) supports countries in the Greater Caribbean in using mobility as a tool for climate-resilient development and in addressing climate-driven displacement through locally grounded, comprehensive solutions. By anticipating climate risks and population movements, it promotes coordinated planning, safe mobility pathways, and the protection of people’s rights and dignity. Jointly led by the Global Centre for Climate Mobility (GCCM) and the Association of Caribbean States with support from key UN agencies and the World Bank, the GCCMI strengthens regional collaboration, evidence-based policymaking, and collective resilience in the face of intensifying climate impacts.
