Mountsorrel Physiotherapy was established in 2012 and owned by Ashley, a highly skilled and experienced Community Physiotherapist assessing/treating patients who have a variety of complex conditions including; Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's Disease and Motor Neuron Disease to name a few.
Prior to qualifying as a Physiotherapist, Ashley Studied a Bachelor of Science with honours Degree in Applied Sports Science at Loughborough University. He then went onto study a Bachelor of Science with honours Degree in Physiotherapy at the University of Leicester, achieving a First Class honours classification in both fields.
Ashley started working in the NHS, for Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust (LPT) in Leicester City as a Junior Band 5 Paediatric Community Physiotherapist. His clinical caseload was diverse treating children with mild development delay right through to children with Cerebral Palsy require twenty-four hour postural management care.
Ashley then progressed and started working for the Adult Community Therapy department in Leicester City as a Junior Band 5 Community Physiotherapist rotating between five specialties including the Musculoskeletal Outpatient Physiotherapy Service, where he completed one of his rotations.
Ashley now works as a Senior Band 6 Community Physiotherapist. This is within the same service, expanding his role between clinical and managerial responsibilities, ensuring both junior and unqualified members of staff are supported in their role. Ashley also takes a keen interest in service development and recruitment.
From the clinical experience he has gained within his specialism, this has allowed Ashley to progress into the private sector and develop Mountsorrel Physiotherapy into what it is today. Delivering a high quality, caring and compassionate Community Physiotherapy service to patients across Leicester and Leicestershire, that is professional, bespoke and patient centred.
