We do soft tanning leaving hair on hides.We do a taxidermy tan which the skin will dry hard for hanging , but will be stiff and can curl a bit when dry. Its the cheapest way to have skin preserved but does not provide a soft leather feel.Soft tanning will allow you to use it as a throw or soft rug if need be.There is no guarantee on soft tanning that you will get your own hide back if the tan is done removing the hair turning it into leather to use to make jackets or other items. The tannery measures the square inches and will return a hide very close in size. Prices vary for wall hanging type hard tan and is based on size and how much sewing will be needed.Prices start at about $128.00 for and up to as much as $575 for caribou. Elk, moose ,bear and larger animals will cost more.
