The mission of the Morris County Education Partnership is to develop, promote, and enhance collaborative efforts between the schools, the system partners in the Children's System of Care, the Division of Child Protection and Permanency, and other interested parties to improve the well being of children in Morris County, keeping them at home, in school, and in the community.
As a result of the Child Welfare Reform that took place across New Jersey, the Division of Child Protection and Permanency underwent major transformation and the Division of Children's System of Care was established under the Department of Children and Families to provide a system of children's behavioral health care service. Since that time, the child behavioral health system of care has changed and grown in an effort to better serve the behavioral health needs of the children and families in New Jersey. However, the system of care remains difficult to navigate for families and professionals alike.
Through this Partnership, professionals from each of the three systems are provided up-to-date, ongoing training and education on the services that are available and how to access and effectively coordinate with those services. This will help ensure that children receive the help they need, moving us toward achieving our goal of keeping children, in school, at home, and in the community.
