Moris Triventi is Associate Professor in Quantitative Sociology at the University of Trento (with Italian habilitation for the role of Full Professor) and a member of the CSIS (Center for Social Inequality Studies). He is also Deputy Director of the PhD program in Sociology and Social Research and Research Delegate for the Department of Sociology and Social Research.
He was Lecturer in the Department of Political and Social Sciences and Senior researcher in the Comparative Lifecourse & Inequality Research Centre (CLIC) at the European University Institute (Fiesole, Italy) (2013-16).
He received his PhD in Applied Sociology and Methodology of Social Research at the University of Milan-Bicocca in 2010 and had additional training on quantitative methods at the University of Essex, Oxford, Bamberg, Trento and EUI.
He has been a visiting researcher at WZB (2018), Trinity College Dublin (2017), University of Cologne (2016), University of Amsterdam (2012).
He teaches and taught courses on sociology of education, social mobility, inequality of opportunity, comparative sociology and quantitative methods.
Research topics: social stratification, educational inequalities, higher education, transition to labour market, impact evaluation of public policies, quantitative methods of data analysis.
