This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is handled in the Layla Cultural Platform application.
If you are not a registered member, no personal information is collected or recorded from your device.
When you register, we collect your username, password and email address.
For registered members, we store your username and password in your application's private data area, so that you can stay logged in and are able to perform other actions like rating books, posting book reviews, creating and joining chatrooms, and following your favourite authors.
Additionally, members registered as authors can publish books, track their book downloads, and respond to reader's messages through the Author's Message Mailbox feature. To be able to do this, we store your username, password, email address, first and last names, date of birth, and nationality.
Individual settings relating to the app are not personal and are stored only on your device. Most of our content, once downloaded from our server, are stored on your device and do not require connection to any external sources. This includes our blogs, library catalogue, and all the published books. The exception is the email feature and chatrooms, which require a secure connection to our server and it involves using your username and password. All of the downloaded data is stored in your device and we do not have access to it.
In addition, if you take a screenshot using the app, location data may be saved in the image, but we have no access to that data and it is not shared with anyone unless you yourself choose to share the image.
To help us better understand how people use our apps and to continue improving them, we use analytics information provided by App Store Connect and Google Store. These services provide generalized data about our apps, such as app usage patterns, transactional, and other anonymized statistics. This data is completely anonymous and cannot personally identify you in any way.
