Projects
These are some projects developed as solutions to different problems encountered frequently by programmers and users (mostly under Fedora Linux).
xtv (XTree View) for Linux: is a file manager that works under the Linux console/xterm. It is developed in C and tested under Fedora Linux 20. You can download the rpm from here, and the source tarball from here. (NOTE: This project is OBSOLETE, XTv is now known as Prime and is found as part of the GnuDOS Project page).
edit (for Linux): is a text file editor (runs under console/xterm) that brings user friendly editing to the command line (much like the edit tool under old MS-DOS, although no link exists between the two). (NOTE: This project is OBSOLETE, Edit is now known as Mino and is found as part of the GnuDOS Project page).
console-utils (cutils) library: a collection of library functions that provide extended functionality to programs written for the Linux console. There are three utilities in the library: Kbd (which provides for keboard handling), Screen (for screen functions), and Dialogs (for drawing dialog boxes). For running programs precompiled with the library you will need the cutils RPM package. To compile new programs you will also need the cutils-devel package. See below.
layla-fonts: a collection of arabic fonts in TrueType Font (TTF) format. Download the rpm package here, or download the source tarball here. Download individual font files from https://sites.google.com/site/mohammedisam2000/layla-fonts.
