Step 1: Make a mountain fold as shown below.
Step 2: Fold the top edge toward the center, and the bottom edge
toward the center as shown below.
Step 3: Cut off 1/4 of the square along a fold line as shown below.
Step 4: Fold the shape down so that it forms a backward "z" when
viewed from the right side, as shown below.
Step 5: This is the top view.
Step 6: Fold the top left corner down, and the lower right corner up
as shown below.
Step 7a: The next step will be to create a diagonal fold that connects
the two points being shown by the fingers in the picture below.
Step 7b: It is helpful to line up a piece of stiff cardboard along the
line where you wish to make this fold.
Step 8: Remove the cardboard, and unfold the end triangles to see
the shape shown below.
Step 9: Fold the right "tail" in so that it lines up with the center shape
and creates a 90 degree angle.
Step 10: Turn over, and repeat step 9 to create the final unit.
