Data Practices Resources
The Information Policy Analysis Division of the Department of Administration provides advisory opinions and training on data practices issues.
The State Archives offers many online resources to assist government agencies in managing their records.
Chapter 13 of the Minnesota Statutes regulates the collection, creation, storage, maintenance, dissemination, and access to government data in government entities.
Chapter 1205 of the Minnesota Rules aids governmental entities in implementing and administering Minnesota Statutes, chapter 13, as those sections relate to data on individuals.
