Explore the 14 optimal teaching practices that build a thinking classroom in math. This session will include a brief introduction into the research of Peter Liljedahl and then a demonstration of several of the teaching practices that research shows optimize conditions for students to think.
Jon Huebner, Math Instructor & Dept. Chair - SCLA
Jon teaches upper level math and serves as math department chair at St. Croix Lutheran Academy. He graduated from MLC in 2011 with a BS in Elementary Education and Secondary Math. He earned his M.Ed. in Mathematics from James Madison University in 2021. In addition to teaching math, Jon coaches varsity boys soccer and assists with boys golf.
