What's Going On?!- Activities Using Your History Textbook and Beyond
In our current educational climate, history instruction is becoming a subject hotly debated. Teachers, students, and families are asking what's going on?! This sectional explores different classroom activities that use your textbook. There will be activities demonstrating the integration of primary sources to your instruction. Participants will be introduced to The National Council for History Education's Habits of Mind and discuss the topic of Culturally Relevant Pedagogy.

Eric Kaesermann graduated in 2003 in the STEP program from Martin Luther College with a major in Social Studies. In 2010-1012 he was apart of a Rich in American History Cohort and travel study through St. Mary's University and South Central College. In 2018 he received a Master of Arts in Teaching American History and Government from Ashland University. Over the past 20 years, he has taught social studies in grades 2-8th at St. Paul's in Arlington, MN.
