5-6 Mental Health Breakout
Resiliency is a concept that needs to be understood by both adults that work with children and children themselves. Often younger children will demonstrate externalizing behaviors when presented with negative triggers to trauma of any kind. Teachers will learn ways to promote resiliency for a younger age group through the challenges that we are currently facing.
Jackie Kacmarynski
Jackie currently serves as the Director of Health Services at Wisconsin Lutheran College (Milwaukee). She earned a BA in Educational Studies, Broad Field Social Sciences & Psychology from Wisconsin Lutheran College and a MS in Educational Psychology - School Counseling from UW-Milwaukee. She recieved her Professional Counselor license in 2011 and was supervised by Christian Family Solutions. Jackie launched the counseling program at St. Marcus Lutheran School, a K-8 urban choice school, and served as a counselor and counseling coordinator for 10 years.
