The Age of the Earth (6-12)

This presentation will discuss a range of scientific topics related to the age of the earth. We know from the Bible that the earth and the entire universe is no more than 8,000 years old, but why do scientists insist on an age of billions of years? We will examine all of this and prepare the teacher to answers questions from their student and parents about the age of the earth.

Presented by Kevin Peil- Kevin is a WELS member and a Research Scientists with The Dow Chemical Company in Midland, Michigan. Kevin has a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering and has been speaking on topics related to Science and the Bible throughout the WELS for almost 30 years.
