As if providing an engaging art lesson wasn't a challenge enough, on top of that is the headache of grading. This presentation will provide a solution for evaluating art that 1) supports individual student strengths, 2) empowers students, and 3) hits art standards that are easily missed.
About the presenter - A 1996 graduate of MLC, Lucas Boehm taught grades 5-8 and was principle for five years at Trinity Lutheran School in El Paso, TX. He has taught art at St. Croix Lutheran Academy since 2001. He holds a master's degree in Coaching and Athletic Administration and has taken art classes at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and The Art of Education. He has wide-ranging interests and welcomes equally wide-ranging opportunities to explore his curiosity and creativity. Helping others imagine and create more than what they thought was readily possible is a great source of inspiration and satisfaction.
