Reading Comprehension (K-8)

This sectional is for teachers at any grade level because every teacher is a teacher of reading. During our time together we will discuss effective instructional strategies to help students comprehend both narrative and expository texts. We will also study assessments that help teachers effectively evaluate students' comprehension of text.

About the presenter - Dr. Cindy Whaley serves as a Professor of Education at Martin Luther College. She has the privilege of teaching a reading methods course with a concurrent literacy clinical and a curriculum and instruction course to undergraduates and reading and assessment courses at the graduate level at MLC.
