The school leader has an essential role in shaping the teachers' practice within their school. Yet it is a big shift to truly engage teachers in worthwhile, rigorous instruction grounded in standards of best practice. This session examines a framework of school leader's influence to assess current site-based practices —and in the end, set next steps that can advance the school leader's goals and strengthen school culture.
About the presenter - Professor Jon Schaefer has served at Siloah, Milwaukee, as a teacher and administrator. Jon currently serves as the coordinator for WELS New Teacher Induction at MLC. He earned his master’s degree in educational leadership and is currently working on his PhD in postsecondary and adult education.
