This sectional shows how technology tools can energize teacher practice by providing easy ways to implement formative assessment every day. We will explore how technology tools can make formative assessment meaningful, sustainable, and scalable when used with the whole class, small groups, or individual students. We will also look at tech-based options for assessing project-based and inquiry-based learning. Finally, we will touch on ways to evaluate data and communicate results with families. About the presenter - Michael Plocher serves at St. Paul's Lutheran School in New Ulm, MN. He received his master of science in education - educational technology, from Martin Luther College. In addition to being the director of technology at St. Paul's, he teaches middle school math, science, and STEM (PLTW) courses.
