Using Christian Worship Psalter in PreK-8 Classrooms

Christian Worship Psalter is much more than just a book of extra psalm settings to support the CW Hymnal Psalms – it contains multiple musical settings of all 150 as well as ready made devotional materials and prayers.  This session will explore more than 20 creative ways to utilize the abundance of resources CW Psalter offers and how every level of student from PreK-8 can use CW Psalter materials.

Dale Witte has served as choir director, music educator, and Fine Arts Department chairman at Winnebago Lutheran Academy in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, since 1993. He is a published liturgical, choral, instrumental, and keyboard composer with works available through Concordia and Northwestern Publishing Houses, and he served as composer and lead reviewer for the Christian Worship Psalter (NPH, 2021). A 1989 graduate of Dr. Martin Luther College, Dale holds a Master of Church Music degree from Concordia University Chicago and is an active member of professional music educator organizations. He is also a founding member of the Lutheran Institute for Music Education (LIME), supporting WELS teachers and schools in strengthening their music education programs.
