Staff Mental Health
This session will explore the four quadrants of self care to help with compounding stress or burn out and assist in discovering practical applications as it relates to vocation. We will briefly apply "One Body, Many Parts" to practical concepts of mental wellness and our inherent design as it relates to working with unwanted emotions and complex moral injury as well as look at the signs or symptoms that help us point back towards what is true, what is good and what is beautiful (God's Design).
Amanda Gerdts, LMFT
Amanda Gerdts, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy Supervisor, has been serving the students and faculty on MLC's campus for the past 15 years and owns Footnotes Counseling Services of Mankato and New Ulm. She specializes in treating sexual abuse and complex trauma recovery and enjoys assisting in the training of the next generation of Christian Counselors as a Post Graduate Supervisor for up and coming LMFT's and LPCC's. 2025 also marks Amanda's initial experience with formal teaching as an Adjunct Professor of Psychology at MLC.
