New Books for our Youngest Learners

This sectional will examine recently published board books, interactive books, concept books, as well as picture books suitable for infants through kindergartners (+). A number of classic titles will also be highlighted.

Jon enjoys the world of children’s literature and is a tireless advocate for reading at all ages.  He weaves his experience teaching grades 1-8 along with evidence-based practices into the language arts and literacy-related courses in the Education Division (Teaching Reading, Teaching Language Arts, Children's Literature, and Teaching Social Studies) and on the Graduate Faculty at Martin Luther College. He also serves on the Executive Board for the Southwest Minnesota Reading Council and is a member of the Minnesota Reading Council, the Minnesota Reading League, and the Higher Education Literacy Partnership of Minnesota (H.E.L.P.).
