More than Movement

Some teachers truly love teaching movement and PE, while others avoid it at all costs!  The many moving bodies, the noise, and the seeming lack of structure can be challenging.  Find out how to look for the many learning opportunities (in multiple domains!) through the mayhem and how to use music and management routines to turn movement time into something teachers and students can enjoy.

Melissa Berg serves as the director of the MLC Early Childhood Learning Center.  Prior to serving at MLC, Melissa served as a mostly 2nd grade teacher in Rapid City, SD (where she gave PE to another teacher as often as possible!).  Melissa graduated from MLC in 2003 with elementary and early childhood education degrees.
