Fearfully and Wonderfully Made

We will explore art concepts and projects that help students understand their Creator, Creation, and how each person is one of a kind! Art concepts will be tied to skills, "exercises" to build skills, and ideas for projects to explore the use of those concepts and skills.

A 1996 graduate of Martin Luther College, Lucas taught grades 5-8 and was principal for five years at Trinity Lutheran School in El Paso, TX. He has taught art at St. Croix Lutheran Academy since 2001. He holds a master's degree in Coaching and Athletic Administration and has taken art classes at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and The Art of Education. Lucas has wide-ranging interests and welcomes opportunities to explore his own curiosity and creativity. He embraces asking questions, especially those that start with “What if” and “Why”, and helping others grow their own understanding and imagination is his goal.
