A sectional exploring classroom management for lower grades. The environment we design to support our students and engage them in learning frames many of the behavioral choices they make. We will consider how to develop principles to guide classroom interactions as well as the role of appropriate student responsibilities.

Ben Clemons is the Assistant Provost for Faculty Care and Development and the Professor of Urban Education at Martin Luther College, where he teaches courses on Classroom Management, Urban Education, and Responsive Teaching. Dr. Clemons has served as a principal and a classroom teacher at schools in Milwaukee, WI as well as teaching English in China at Hangzhou Normal University before coming to MLC.
