Chapter Books and Picture Books for the Middle & Upper Grades

This sectional will showcase newly published chapter books and pictures books suitable for your classroom and school libraries, as well as your personal enjoyment! A number of series, classic, and anniversary titles will be shared. Bring an electronic device so you can log into your public library account to start to reserve these titles. 

Jon enjoys the world of children’s literature and is a tireless advocate for reading at all ages.  He weaves his experience teaching grades 1-8 along with evidence-based practices into the language arts and literacy-related courses in the Education Division (Teaching Reading, Teaching Language Arts, Children's Literature, and Teaching Social Studies) and on the Graduate Faculty at Martin Luther College. He also serves on the Executive Board for the Southwest Minnesota Reading Council and is a member of the Minnesota Reading Council, the Minnesota Reading League, and the Higher Education Literacy Partnership of Minnesota (H.E.L.P.).
