Adding to Your History Teaching Toolbox

Grades 5-8

Overview

What is in your toolbox?  All teachers have certain tools and methods used for instruction.

As educators, we are looking for different ways to reach all types of learners in our classrooms.  This session's purpose is to enhance your social studies lessons by using historical thinking tools.  Teachers will be given an overview of integrating primary sources, using collaborative activities, practicing interactive mini-lessons, experiencing investigation activities, and looking at review techniques.
