My professional focus has always been information literacy and library instruction. In particular I have been very engaged in learning, using, and advocating for active learning and student-centered/directed learning methods.

I regularly teach two sections of the 1-credit course. They are a general education requirement for SUNY Plattsburgh students.

Course-Related Sessions (one-shots)
Regularly teach course related library instruction sessions for a variety of subjects. Each sessions is customized after consulting with the faculty member to meet the needs for the students' work in the course.
Developed specialized sessions on accessing and analyzing state and federal data for Journalism students.
Serve as one of the librarians teaching Zotero sessions.
Piloted live, real-time, online library instruction sessions with our branch campus using Google Hangouts.

LTS254 Academic Technology Bootcamp (1 credit)
A basic introduction to software and programs essential for college success. A focus on productivity, collaboration, and communication in the Microsoft and Google environments provided by SUNY Plattsburgh.

MLS589 Research and Writing for Graduate Students
Co-developed and taught with Janet Worthington and Kevin O’Neill for the Master’s in Liberal Studies program at SUNY Plattsburgh. (2000-2007)
