Most games are based on four player teams. In the event your team only has three players then the following rules apply. The rules are grouped into two sections. Section One details the rules of play when you do not have a fourth player and Section Two details the rules of play when you have a walk-on fourth player.
Section One; No Fourth Player
Unless otherwise posted, one player will play two balls on three of the nine holes. Each player will take turns playing two balls.
Unless otherwise posted, the three holes a player plays two balls is determined by the three players.
Depending on the game, the player playing two balls must score and record both balls.
Depending on the game, the player playing two balls must record the GIR count both balls.
On the Closest to the Pin (CTTP) hole only the first tee shot is used for this competition. The second tee shot is played normally.
Section Two; Fourth Player
The three players will play only one ball for all nine holes (only three balls in play). This is a speed of play issue. No Fivesomes…..
For games requiring four scores then the following special scoring applies.
Straight Bramble
on holes 4 and 8 only three balls are played to the green.
On the green one player will putt a second ball for the fourth score.
Different players will putt the second ball on these holes.
No GIR count is recorded. We will use a score card play off for ties.
2 PAR Train Wreck Bramble
on all nine holes only three balls are played to the green.
On the green one player will putt a second ball for the fourth score.
Different players will putt the second ball on these holes.
No GIR count is recorded. We will use a score card play off for ties.
For games requiring three scores then the following special scoring applies.
3 Count and 2 of 9 Brambles
Only three balls are played and recorded.
The two tee shot rules applies for six holes.
The remaining three holes are open holes for anyone's tee shot.
No GIR count is recorded. We will use a score card play off for ties.

The two tee shot rules applies for six holes.
The remaining three holes are open holes for anyone's tee shot.
Empty the Bucket scramble

Match Play –
We have two players playing against one player for all nine holes.
The points the single player earns is recorded for the forth player. Example, the missing player is on the red team, so the single player’s score is recorded for the red team.
Since the playing partners rotates after three holes, then the fourth score for all nine holes is generated evenly by the nine matches.
Charlotte Cup
The points the single player earns is recorded for the forth player on all nine holes.
$5.00 to play applied as follows...
$2 / person - Winning Team
$1 / person - 2nd Place Team
$1 / person for closest to pin on two holes
$1 / person toward hole-in-one fund.
Greens in Regulation (GIR) means on a par 3 your tee shot stopped on the putting surface. On a Par 4 your first or second shot stopped on the putting surface.
Special Rule for Par 4s, if a players tee shot is on the green then all four players get a GIR unless a player’s putt goes off of the green.
All teams will record the number of team players hitting the Green in Regulation for all nine holes.
Only record the number of player(s) (Not their Name). Example on hole 3 three players hit the green so you record a 3. On hole 4 only one player hit the green, so you record a 1. Do this for all nine holes.
We will use the GIR for the tie breaker. This means if multiple teams have the same final score then the team with the highest GIR count will be the winner. If they are still tied, then we will use a random number score card playoff to pick the winner.
Teams with three players, we will use a random number score card playoff to pick the winner.
Teams are made up of 3 or 4 players. For three player teams only the first shot for the player hitting two balls is used for this competition.
The CTTP hole may change weekly. The CTTP hole is shown on the front page of the web site and in the weekly email.
The ball must be on the putting surface not on the fringe or beyond to count.
A CTTP marker is provided to measure your shots. Remove the flag and place the rounds flange into the hole with the screw marked “Hook Tape Here” facing the ball. Measure from the screw to the front of the ball. Record your shot if it is shorter that the shortest shot recorded.
The last team in the Group please pick up the CTTP marker and return to the group coordinator.
In case of a tie we will go to the score cards. The team with the highest GIR count or best score on a randomly selected score card playoff is the winner.
If they have the same GIR count then a random number from 1 to 9 is selected via a phone application.
This number will represent the first hole to use for the tie breaker.
Say the number is 4 than we will use hole four on your score cards.
The winner of that hole is the winner. If still tied than we will proceed to the next hole until a team wins or all nine holes are used.
If still tied, then we will flip a coin and “winners take all”.
If we have three or more score cards with the same score than the first team to win the score card / coin toss is the winner.
The award for a hole-in-one shall be limited to the amount in the fund up to a cap of $250.
