Each Player's score for a hole is in relationship to PAR. A par is recorded as a zero (0). A birdie is recorded as a -1. A bogey is recorded as a +1 and so on.
Each Player must have a minimum of five (5) recorded scores.
Each Team must have twenty (20) recorded scores (five recorded scores from each player).
The Team Score is the accumulation of all twenty (20) recorded scores.
The Team will decide which player's score(s) are recorded prior to proceeding to the next hole. Once a player score is recorded it cannot be changed. If a player's score is not selected for a hole then their score is left blank.
The Team Captain will record only the selected scores for each player for all nine holes.
Help a Friend (HAF) special rules.
Once a player has five recorded scores they become eligible to Help a Friend (HAF).
A HAF Player can substitute their score for another players score for the hole in play.

Lone Wolf Bonus Ball Play
The team determines who is the Lone Wolf and playing the Bonus Ball prior to teeing off.
The Lone Wolf tees off and plays their own ball into the cup (straight golf stroke play).
The Lone Wolf is awarded points based on their score for the hole (See Points Above).
Only eight holes are used for bonus play and which eight holes is determined by the team.
The team plays a four player scramble using anyone's tee shot on the one hole not used for bonus play.
Three Player Scramble
The other three players not playing a Bonus Ball tee off and play a three-person scramble.
They select the best tee shot. and play their second shot from this point.
Play is continued in this manner until the ball is holed.
Remember, it's a four player scramble on the one hole not used for bonus play.
Scoring
Record the three-person team point score plus the Lone Wolf's point score as the team score for each hole. Example, the three players pared the hole and earned 2 points and the Lone Wolf birdied the hole and earned 3 points. So, the team score for that hole is 5 points.

To Double Down
This is a Risk/Reward game meaning if you win you are rewarded, but if you lose then you are penalized.

The hole must be scored as a Double Down prior to proceeding to the next hole.
Once the hole is scored it cannot be changed.

If you Eagle the hole you are awarded 10 points.
If you Birdie the hole you are awarded 6 points.
If you Par the hole then you record only 2 points because you tied or pushed the course.

They play their next shot from that point and continue selecting their best shots until a ball is holed or the hole is conceded.
Match Alternate Shots on Holes 4 – 6; all players tee off on Gold tees (Seniors may play from the green tees) and the pair select their best shot. The other player will play the second shot from that spot and you are allowed to play with your own ball. Only one ball per pair is in play. Players will continue alternating shots until the ball is holed or the hole is conceded.
Match Best Ball on Holes 7 - 9; all players tee off on Gold tees (Seniors may play from the green tees) and play straight golf (stroke play) with their own ball into the hole. The best single score for each player pair is matched and points awarded.

How this game is played is a Mystery and to solve the mystery you must go to the first tee box on game day at the appointed time.
On the first tee you will find a Play Card located in a plastic bag tied to one of the tee markers.
Play Card
Designates which tee or tees to use on this hole.
Designates how many players tee off and which tees they must use.
Explains how to play the hole. Examples may be a Team or Pair Scramble, Bramble, Straight Golf, Alternate Shot or etc.
It will explain how to score the hole on a standard Village Scorecard.
It will provide Team Pairing when required. The pairing will be on the back of the play card.
Play Card Example:
Hole: 5
Tee: All players tee off from the Gold tees.
Rule: Straight Bramble all players tee off and select the best tee shot. All players play their own ball (straight golf) from this point into the cup.
Score: The Team Score is best 3 scores added together.
No minimum number of tee shots required.
Strokes per team not points.
No Greens-In-Regulation (GIR) count.
Team Captains are responsible for reading the Play Card, deploying the players appropriately and keeping the team score.
The team with the lowest total score is our first-place winner. The team with the next lowest score is second. In case of a tie see MMG Rules Tie Breaker.
