How the Lineal / Linear Titles are decided
The lineal title is decided upon, usually, when the #1 & #2 contenders fight...though not just any contenders, they should be the cream of the crop in their respective weight class. When we first started we made some of the 1st champions based on their records and titles already held, such as, the Shooto champions, at the lighter weights, and/or, where it was harder to decide - based on the top 2 contenders.
