My late God-father was a champion state Boxer (LHW, as "Johnny Langley") in NJ, and then on the Navy Boxing Team, during WW II...

He served on a submarine during the war.

He was born & raised a poor Irish Catholic but worked his way up in life and became a self-made millionaire by the age of 40.

He owned several businesses, was a real estate broker, a stock broker, and a county commissioner.

A man's man! - I had such deep respect & admiration for him...and almost married his eldest daughter.

He passed away this last November 2015, at the age of 96.
