Notes for teachers:
I use red, gray, and blue pony beads for this activity
I place the beads in small Ziploc containers for each "atom" and label each of the container lids with the number that corresponds to the appropriate row on the answer key (email me if you'd like access to my answer key)
You can use any elements you'd like in any variation (atom, ion, or isotope) that you'd like, but keep in mind that the more beads you use (i.e., the higher the mass of the element), the longer it will take your students to count the beads
