July 2012 - per FD website - 34 quints and 2 heavy rescues - each company has 1 Captain and a minimum of 4 firefighters - Hook and Ladder 5 and Hook and Ladder 6 are 125 foot quints - Engines are called Pumpers on the radio - FD can reach any block in the city within 4 minutes of being dispatched
Dec 2016 - per FD website https://www.stlouis-mo.gov/government/departments/public-safety/fire/fire-suppression.cfm - each company has 1 Captain and 3 firefighters (?minimum) - there are 9 engines & 20 quints with 75 foot aerials & 5 ladders (over 100 feet) & 2 heavy rescues
