Welcome to 8th Grade ELA!
This year we will continue (and end!) on our middle school language arts journey with reading, writing, vocab, and grammar (everyone's favorite!).
Some things you can expect to do in ELA this year in preparation for high school:
- Reading: textbook reading- comprehension & analysis; outside reading- novels & short stories
- Writing: journal entires from daily prompts, analyses, essays, short stories, and independent writing
- Vocabulary
- Grammar
- PROJECTS!! We will have both group & individual projects this year to showcase what we learned with the materials discussed in class in hands-on & interactive ways.
