Lori Towne (Miss Lori)

I live in Rutland with my husband Dan the Man of 32 years. We have 2 beautiful daughters Christine and Olivia whom both danced at Miss Jackie’s, until they left for college. We are also now blessed with a precious granddaughter Payton Lynn.

In my earlier career I owned and operated my daycare for 10 years and then worked in the school system for 15 years. I now work in the community supporting a young lady with a disability. I truly love what I do and especially enjoy my time working closely with Miss Jen at the studio.

I started dancing with Miss Jackie’s at the age of 6. Although I tried different styles of dance, tap was definitely the right fit for me. I danced until I was a senior in high school. I took a few years off but I returned when my first daughter was 3. I continued to take adult classes and very quickly discovered my passion for teaching our most precious baby classes. My training was done under the direction of Miss Jackie and Miss Jen. I have attended dance conventions and traveled to competitions with the studio. I continue to work closely with Miss Jen with our littlest students up to middle school age. Miss Jackie’s Studio of Dance truly is the best of the best and I am so thankful to be part of this wonderful family.

   Melissa Manfredi (Miss Missy)

Miss Missy was taught by Miss Jackie.  She came to Miss Jackie’s Studio at 4 years old and has never left.  She began student teaching around the age of 13, has taught baby ballet, and is currently an assistant teacher.

Miss Missy is the backbone of the recital.  She is behind the scenes creating and organizing the show from opening to finale.  What would we do without her!?

She has her Associate’s Degree in Accounting from the Community College of Vermont, and works at a local accounting firm.  She has attended Dance Caravan in NYC. Melissa has performed in "Kilroy Was Here" for the Marble Valley Players.

Miss Missy takes great pride in watching each student progress.  From a 3 year old who goes from afraid to comfortable, to a 7 year old who finally gets a shuffle ball change, or a middle schooler who gets their leg on the high bar, or a teen who gets her triple turns, Miss Missy feels such love and excitement for each dancer.

She lives in Rutland with her husband and her young daughter, who is passionate about dance and is in her 8th year at Miss Jackie’s studio.

Cheryl Muscatello  (Miss Cheryl)

I started dancing at the age of 3, must have liked it as I’m still at it! I started teaching at an early age with Mary Byrne. When she retired Miss Jackie invited me to teach at her studio and I’ve been here since then. Besides studio classwork, I have trained in Saratoga, NY, Dance Olympus, other conventions and NYC. I’ve performed throughout the region and my tap group performed and won the Really Big Show, one year.

I have choreographed for Rutland Youth Theatre.

For me dancing is a passion, teaching is a privilege. To be able to watch a student, adult or child, develop and grow is the most rewarding gift. I love it!

Join the fun and get great exercise in my Monday Adult Tap and Adult Jazz!

Jen Senecal (Miss Jen)

Jen Senecal comes to our studio with over 40 years of dance experience . She

started Dance classes at age 4 studying tap, jazz and Ballet. As an adult Jen focused exclusively on ballet with Ilene Blackman’s dance troupe where she performed and choreographed on many occasions.

Jen graduated with a bachelors of arts at Johnson State College Summa Cum Laude. She has a major in psychology and a minor in dance. Jen has worked in the Rutland Community for over 20 years practicing therapeutic behavioral health and movement educator. Jen will be certified in Embodied Movement at the end of the summer of 2021. Moreover, she serves on the council for Building Bright Futures in Rutland County where action plans for supporting Early Childhood education/intervention are developed and executed. In addition to joining Miss Jackie’s studio of dance, she is a lead choreographer and board member of Pride’s Young Artist. Jen enjoys creating dance with her daughter Cordelia at Pride’s.

During her free time, she loves being outdoors at her family’s cabin in the woods where she hikes with her husband, daughter and their two dogs. The flip side to spending time in nature for Jen’s family is traveling to NYC to see Broadway shows.

Jen believes dance and theater help to develop the art of communicating using kinesthetic intelligences. Additionally, dance and theater allow for the opportunity to develop safe and healthy social emotional skills to use in all areas of life.
