Unsolicited Student Feedback
I want to thank you for making a subject I was worried about disliking to a class I was excited to show up! Thank you for being reachable even outside your office hours. Words cannot express how grateful I am. Lastly, thanks for a hilarious semester, we had a lot of good times!
I wanted to tell you that the MIS 5001 class you taught in January was, by far, the best class I have taken in the PMBA program. I'm taken all six credits in required classes so I feel I have a good perspective in which share this comment. I enjoyed the content, format and the way in which you taught the compressed weekend class. There was a lot of group discussion mixed in with your lecture. Meeting fellow students in a defined way like this encouraged us to remain connected during and after the class. I also appreciated having a chance to submit a draft of our executive reports. Your comments for my drafts were very constructive and helped guide me in a better argument for the final draft.
I just wanted to thank you; your class has been extremely helpful to think differently from an IT perspective. You made the class (one I had been dreading) one of my favorite courses to date. Your teaching style was great and the course content, especially the sampling of using R was extremely useful! Thanks again for a great class!
The learning in this course has been more valuable than the grades - this course has generated truly valuable discussions and really pushed me - more so than many of the other courses in the program (and I'm at the end of the program, so I've had my fair share of courses).
I wanted to send you a personal email to thank you for Saturday's class! You did a fantastic job keeping the class focused and 'reading' the room with high emotional intelligence. Admittedly, I didn't have the highest expectations and I thoroughly enjoyed the dialog and took copious notes on how to apply the concepts to my career. I'm a little older than most in the MBA program; and I found great value! Have a great week!
Thank you very much for teaching this course and sharing your knowledge! This was one of the best classes I have taken so far and I truly learned so much from the assignments and in-class discussions. You explained the concepts in a way that made me think about my work differently that I would not have thought of before taking this class.
Thank you for a wonderful experience! I really enjoyed your teaching style, your positive attitude, and your insights. It's so nice when a teacher enjoys his work and shares that enthusiasm! This was one of my 2 favorite classes in the program (I loved leadership too). Thanks again!
I really enjoyed your course. The way you structured it (workload more evenly distributed throughout the month, and the reading/reflection notes) really fostered learning/grasping the subject matter and I think is a model for other professors to follow. Your approach was very current and practical, and I learned a great deal. Thank you, Min-Seok. Your class was one of the more memorable ones of the program.
Thank you for everything. I have almost 20 years of professional experience (in Information Technology in Pharma, Military, DOD, Healthcare, and Fortune 150). I also have many years of experience at Temple. I have to say this class, although it is "intro class," has been been one of the best! It has really opened my eyes to a whole area of business I have not been directly involved in. For the last year, at my new company, I have worked near the Data Science team at my company and always wondered what it is the they do. Not only do I have much greater appreciation for what it is the team does, I actually want to be part of it! I have been involved in Systems Administration for the better part of the last 20 years. Your last class, which covered the future of career fields, is "on-point" with the direction of where Sys Admin type jobs are going. Although I am now working in Cloud Technologies, which is lucrative for the near term, today I am seriously considering pursuing additional Data Science studies.
Thanks for sending us this wonderful email! I appreciate you as well. I highly enjoyed your class. I really liked how you structured your lecture and encouraged us to engage during the lecture. I learned a lot from your course. I think that my biggest takeaway from this course how you managed the classroom. I will definitely use your style next semester in the classes that I will teach. Thanks for being a great professor and overall person.
Thank you for being dynamic, enthusiastic, and attentive during our first semester. Several colleagues and I thought your class was the most provocative and engaging.
