For most of the year, a quiet English seaside town.
For two days in August, the sound of aircraft roaring overhead, pilots showing off their charges, modern and vintage, military and civilian. But in 2015 tragedy struck. Pilot Andrew Hill made a series of inexplicable errors and ploughed into the A27 trunk road, killing 11 men.
Incredibly, he survived, his life saved by first responders who braved the flames and noxious fumes. Over three years later, he was found not guilty of Gross Negligence Manslaughter. To this day he has no memory of the accident.
The bereaved sought answers. This book provides them.
